HIFLD EMS HIFLD EMS Stations Inventory

Published by U.S. Department of Homeland Security (Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data)· quarterly

Federal inventory of every U.S. EMS / ambulance service station — the authoritative source for emergency-medical coverage analysis.

In Detail

HIFLD EMS Stations is a national geospatial dataset of every U.S. EMS station and ambulance service base, maintained by DHS. Each record includes facility name, exact address and coordinates, zip code, state, and a permanent federal identifier. ValiFit uses HIFLD EMS to compute the Health Infrastructure composite (EMS coverage within 7-mile radii per NFPA 1720 standards) and to render entity pages at /ems-stations/[id] for every U.S. EMS station. Critical for surfacing rural EMS deserts where response times exceed federal standards.
